Day 3 of the vETskillinG Project: Collaborating on Technology and Climate Awareness.

On the third day of the vETskillinG Project in Dordrecht, the focus was on further building the weather station. For many students, it was a challenging day, as the technical aspects were new to them. Additionally, while communicating in English is familiar, using technical jargon proved to be an extra difficulty. As a result, the students had to overcome various obstacles – a key aspect of this project.

Problem-solving is a core part of the vETskillinG Project. It not only requires technical skills but also the development of so-called soft skills. Collaboration, active listening, and a positive approach are crucial when facing challenges. These are the exact competencies that students need to solve the problems of tomorrow, both in technical tasks and in addressing climate change.

Climate change and sustainability remain important themes in the project. By learning how to tackle challenges now, the students are preparing themselves for the future ahead.

All in all, it was an educational day, ending with a team-building sports activity focused on cooperation.

Tomorrow, a new project day awaits, focusing on further developing soft skills. This day has been prepared by our colleagues from 'Usurbilgo Lanbide Eskola' in the Basque Country. We look forward to exploring and developing these essential skills further!
