Day 1 - Project Week Dordrecht kicks off within the vETskillinG project: Climate Change takes center stage on day one.

Updated: Sep 18

This week is entirely dedicated to the study week of the vETskillinG project, where teachers from various European countries collaborate to share knowledge and develop skills in the fields of green technologies and energy transition. The first day started with a dynamic introductory session, where students had the opportunity to get to know each other better through 'icebreaker games,' laying a solid foundation for the collaboration that will take place throughout the rest of the week.

In the afternoon, an inspiring presentation was given by the Municipality of Dordrecht, in collaboration with Pulsaqua, addressing the challenges and solutions related to climate change. Special attention was given to the Wielwijk neighborhood, where various aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are being applied in innovative ways. The presentation showcased how Dordrecht is being made climate-resilient by developing sustainable water management systems and energy-efficient housing.

These examples align perfectly with the goals of the VETskilling project, where we are working to develop both generic and technical skills that promote the energy transition and sustainability. We look forward to continuing to learn and collaborate throughout the week to contribute to a more sustainable future!
